Creating a Cloud on the Qubinets Platform: A Detailed Tutorial​

This tutorial will guide you through the steps required to create a cloud environment on the Qubinets platform.

Step 1: Log In to Your Qubinets Account​

  • Open your browser and navigate to the Qubinets login page.
  • Enter your credentials and log in.

Step 2: Navigate to Cloud Creation​

  • From the dashboard, click on the "Add Cloud Account" button.

Step 3: Enter Cloud Details​

  • Cloud Name: Type any suitable name for your cloud environment.

Step 4: Select preferred Cloud Provider​

  • Cloud Provider: You can choose between Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Microsoft Azure or AWS as cloud providers. You can also upload your existing kubeconfig file and build on that cluster.

Step 5: Cloud Provider Credentials​

If you're using one of the cloud providers, acquire appropriate credentials

  • GCP: Get a GCP Service Account Key File. You can find it here.
  • DigitalOcean: Get a DO token. You can find it here.
  • Azure: Get an Azure Account Key File. You can find it on your Azure portal.
  • AWS: Get an Access Key ID & Secret Access Key. You can get them by creating Access keys inside AWS security credentials here.

Step 6: Choose Instance Type and Count​

  • Instance Type: Pick Kubernetes configuration and instance count (200 USD free credits covers this cost).
  • Instance Count: Pick an instance count based on your needs.

Step 7: Click Save​

  • After saving it Cloud Account is successfully created.

Step 8: Instantiate Kubernetes cluster on linked cloud account​

  • Pick Instantiate cloud from Status menu or Top navigation bar.

Step 9: Click on status "BUILDING"​

  • After clicking on status "BUILDING" console will open and it will follow on the process.

Step 9: Launching Cloud​

  • Cloud creation, configuration and instancing will take 10 to 15 mins.

Troubleshooting and Support​

  • Verification Issues: Recheck your settings if the cloud fails to launch.
  • Performance Adjustments: Modify instance types or storage options.
  • Technical Support: Contact Qubinets support for assistance.
