Creating a Cloud

Cloud is an entity that stores information for our platform to communicate with your cloud provider and gives us a way to make Kubernetes clusters for you. You must provide cloud credentials in the form of YAML, access keys or Oauth to be able to create a cloud.

This tutorial will guide you through the steps required to create a cloud environment on the Qubinets platform.

Creating a Cloud Tutorial​

Step 1: Log In to Your Qubinets Account​

Follow these steps:

  • Open your browser and navigate to the Qubinets login page.
  • Enter your credentials and log in.

Step 2: Navigate to Cloud Creation​

In the left sidebar, click Auth module.

Step 3: Select Preferred Cloud Provider​

You can choose between Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Microsoft Azure or AWS as cloud providers. You can also upload your existing kubeconfig file and build on that cluster.

Step 4: Enter Cloud Details​

Enter cloud name. Choose the auth type you want to use. You can use:

  • OAuth: Login to chosen cloud provider and allow Qubinets to use your token for cloud creation.
  • Key: Authorize by credential data that differs for each provider, described bellow.

If you're using one of the cloud providers, acquire appropriate credentials

  • GCP: Get a GCP Service Account Key File. You can find it here.
  • DigitalOcean: Get a DO token. You can find it here.
  • Azure: Get an Azure Account Key File. You can find it on your Azure portal.
  • AWS: Get an Access Key ID & Secret Access Key. You can get them by creating Access keys inside AWS security credentials here.

Step 5: Click Create Cloud​

After clicking Create Cloud the Cloud Account is successfully created. You can choose to create a workspace with it immediately by clicking the Yes button in the notification.

Troubleshooting and Support​

  • Verification Issues: Recheck your settings if the cloud fails to launch.
  • Performance Adjustments: Modify instance types or storage options.
  • Technical Support: Contact Qubinets support for assistance.
