Using Templates

Templates are pre-configured workspaces that contain a set of qubes and connectors designed for specific use cases. They provide a quick way to get started with common application architectures without having to build everything from scratch.

Creating a Template​

From Existing Workspace​

  1. Open the workspace you want to use as a template in the builder.
  2. Click the Create Template button in the Canvas header options - click Options icon.

From Scratch​

  1. Go to the Templates section by clicking the Templates tab in the left sidebar of the homepage.
  2. Click the Create Template button.
  3. Enter template name.
  4. Add qubes and connectors to the template by selecting them from the qubes list.
  5. Click the Save button to create the template.

Using a Template​

From Homepage or Templates Section​

  1. Choose the Template you want to use from the templates list in the Templates section of the homepage.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Choose the workspace you want to import the template into or create a new workspace.

While Creating a New Workspace​

  1. Go to the new workspace page by following this link or by clicking the Plus button in the workspaces section of the homepage.
  2. Follow the steps listed in the Creating a Workspace guide until you reach the Choose Template and Add Qubes step.
  3. Choose the Template you want to use from the templates dropdown menu.
